July 27th - The Pediatrics Day

On June 27th is dedicated to the Brazilian Pediatrics. It is a very important date in the calendar of the Medicine in Brazil. The Pediatrics in the State of Pernambuco commemorates their day with effusives advanced courses, some of them on the top of technologies.

It's time to understand, not just about the meaning of the day, but how this especialization requires much more attention from the universities and the government. Their work are so necessary not just for children, but for parents that in most needed areas call the attention of the Pediatrics about teaching the first supplies, cares and treatment from an expert.

Not so far, in their duties are included many expertises. So, in this date it is time to figure out how their work requires with medical care and kindness the newborns, their parents and the treatment comes to form this circle that in the future will give to the world a healthy grow-up ready to be a citizen up to be as productive as possible in different areas.

Parents play an important factor with all that, but without the Pediatrics, which is the third person in this scale a long expected day, as such, unimaginable moment that comes true. Of course, it is when a pregnant has its first son.

This goes for you, Pediatrics of Brazil and worldwide. How I know your daily work to write this message.

On the most of the times, Pediatrics have to deal with newborns that don't speak; but scream, don't understand the words; but hear, that, sometimes, can't be touched; but feel the touch. So difficult is to work with a newborn. Ask their parents, ask the Pediatrics. Therefore, the experience may counts too in many of the cases for both.

I take advantage of this blog to extend my gratitude for the work of the Pediatrics worldwide. They are included in this homenage. That every hospital apt to give the first exams for children and cildren, before the first contact with their newborn's mother and father, go these words too.

Do not forget about their daily routine, parents. They work twice or three times per child per each treatment. Imagine in a health house where Pediatrics has to spend 24 hrs?

There's no price that can pay a child smile when he/she gets the right medicine. "Boo...boo...daa...daa..." are the words that a child says. Too much understanding to mention "thank very you very much Doctor for helping me and taking me out this disease".

To conclude, Pediatrics of Brazil, have all my happiness for having a Pediatrics at home.
